The heavy weight of loneliness
which many groan and bear
affect the health and welfare of
each one who claims despair

where a coldness settles within
a heart that’s starved for love
will be withdrawn into itself
in pity it thinks of
____
wondering if the day will come
when love shall be returned
instead of deep dark depression
at each and every turn
____
but man will search all the places
where he thinks love will be
and missing the nature it is
from Whom it comes indeed
____
and when Jesus enters a heart
loneliness has to leave
replaced with love so exciting
when one in Him believes
____
such a promise that God has made
that He is always there
never to leave or forsake you
you’ll always have Him near
____
when love is lost you can regain
the strength which love can give
if you lean on Jesus in prayer
embracing Him to live
